Oreo Truffles

Recipe from

Yield: approximately 4 dozen truffles

Ingredients:

  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 pkg. (1 lb. 2 oz.) Oreos or Golden Oreos
  • 2 pkg. (8 squares each) Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate, melted or white chocolate

Directions:

  1. Set aside 5 Oreos and throw the rest in a food processor until they are finely crumbled
  2. Mix cookie crumbs with cream cheese.
  3. Form mixture into 1" balls and place onto a cookie sheet lined with wax paper.
  4. Refrigerate at least 15 minutes
  5. Melt the chocolate.
  6. Coat balls with chocolate and return to the lined cookie sheet.
  7. Crush the remaining 5 cookies in the food processor and sprinkle crumbs on the wet truffles.
  8. Refrigerate for one hour.
